Well we are a week out from the start of the show at the America’s Center/Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis and things are being finalized all over the shop. Final touches are being applied to the truck chassis, show materials are gathered and soon the trucks will be loaded and ready to hit the road.

It has been some time since we showed off a completely new product at a national trade show, but we are excited about what response we might get from those in the truck equipment industry. This product builds on what we have done in the past with Switch-N-Go and AmeriDeck and continues to bring efficiency and flexibility to the truck equipment industry.

As we mentioned before, the system will be sitting on a new 2010 Dode Ram chassis and we can’t wait to share it with you all. When people attend The Work Truck show many times they see new products or prototypes of things to come. This system, like our other products, is run with an electric-over-hydraulic pump so people at the show will actually be able to see it work.

They also have the Member Verification Program (MVP) that is available to both distributor and manufacturer members. While there are subtle differences between the two programs for distributors and manufacturers, the results are the same. If you see that the company you are considering working with is an NTEA MVP you can proceed with confidence.

NTEA MVPs must meed certain standards to be part of the program. They must have quality standards throughout their entire processes from order taking to delivery and have those processes supported with checklists. They must have a certain level of liability insurance and have safety standards for both their company and their products. These companies must have a qualified production or installation staff that hold certifications related to their business. Bottom line is that while companies do not need to meet these specifications to produce or install truck equipment, but the companies that do have a MVP status with the NTEA give customers and industry partners confidence that they are working with a good company that will stand behind their work.

With everyone watching their spending even more currently, having that extra bit of certainty helps put people at ease when making an investment in truck equipment.

That said, is she ready to face off with Brett Rowe of the Herd Racing Team?  Brett is a crafty veteran of various NASCAR series events and will not shaken at the start of the race by the sights and sounds of Daytona.  Led by Crew Chief Brian Tomes and Car Owner Dan Tomes the Heard Racing Team which runs the #75 Dodge that Brett will be driving is experienced and ready to meet any challenge that may come their way this weekend.

This can include the labor involved in mounting and removing a spreader from a truck bed.
